Up for auction we have a near-complete boxed Voltes V robot from 1982. The box is marked Bandai and Popy and Toei and Godaikin.
For the most part the robot is in excellent condition. It seems to be very clean and not played-with. The rubber treads are soft and easy to move. Everything seems to be like new. The fists seem to be a blue-green shade. The other parts are blue.
It includes the booklet, the overlay, and packing materials. However, it is not perfect. There are some problems.
First, the ice sword is MISSING. As far as I can tell it is the only piece missing. Also, the two small antennas on the lander vehicles are bent up. I was tempted to try to bend them back into shape, but they would probably break. There is a close-up showing them. I could not easily pull them out either, so I figured I had better leave well enough alone. The box is kinda beat. The main problem is a 3x3 inch hole that someone cut into the box top. I have included a close-up of it. Also, the box is split at one corner and has been taped. There is also wear along the edges and other corners. The overlay also has wear. There are some holes in the cellophane. There is also a small tear. I tried to show this in a close-up pic. The bottom box is very good. The handle is intact.
